Beauty, Favorites

I have no idea why, but I own a ridiculous amount of the Revlon Lip Butters. Like 18 out of the original 20 shades. Some sit in a drawer, I’ll admit, but many make it to work, handbags & my car. I tend to baby my more expensive lip products so the lip butters are nice because I don’t have to worry about them. If I lose one, I just move on with my life.

So I tried to resist the new colors that came out for spring/summer. I lasted a little while… but only because my Target didn’t have them. I finally got my hands on them the other day and they are full of buttery goodness. I got 3 out of the 4 new colors – I already bought a few hot pink colors so I passed on Sorbet. I did get Wild Watermelon, Juicy Papaya & Pink Lemonade.

Wild Watermelon is one not to pass up. A hot pink with a toned down red is perfect for making way into spring. Juicy Papaya is really spring and beautiful, too. I love the orange tint. The Pink Lemonade at first was a slight disappointment. Then, when I put it on, I really loved it. If you have really pigmented lips like I do, you might actually like this color. My lip color shines through, but it gives it a milky pink effect that I really like. This one is also the epitome of easy to apply… you really don’t need a mirror to master this one.

I found mine at my Target and would say all 3 are with a look, though, I will probably wear out Wild Watermelon. It’s too pretty not too.

Swatch (top to bottom): Wild Watermelon, Juicy Papaya and Pink Lemonade.

I believe these are limited edition, but I’m not sure how limited they truly are. My guess is you’ll be able to buy them through the spring. The lip butters can cling to dry spots, but overall I don’t find that a problem on me. These will be perfect for your pool bag.

I recommend these to people who don’t want to spend a lot on their lip products but still want decent quality and those who really want to dive into bright lip colors, but find themselves pulling back. This is a great, cost effective way to jump in. Your lips will be oh so butterlicious.
