Favorite Things: January

You know when you have those moments when you wonder why you waited so long to do something? YouTube & blogging has to be one of those things. I’m still amazed and in awe of how amazing this community is. Like when Rachel tells me Happy Birthday on Instagram or TheBombshellSuite gives me a shout-out. It’s literally bananas and I’m still processing it, but thank you to all of you who have been so supportive lately. I’m just so encouraged & motivated to keep going. This part of my life is so fun and I’m so happy to share it and, even better, have people reading and watching.

January was a great month and I’ve bought and found some great things. First thing is Train Bleu from Nars. This Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is pretty vampy. More than I was thinking, but I love the transformation. I was scared at first, but now I love. Next is Marc Jacobs. I’ve resisted a lot in his line, but I Loved the new whipped foundation and re(marc)able concealer. I applied the foundation with a beauty blender which was perfect. I’m so happy someone gave me this tip. The color match is amazing, it wears wonderfully and the coverage is nice. I was devastated when it didn’t apply well with a brush & I’m so glad I’ve found a solution. The concealer is amazing BUT doesn’t come without a few warnings. It will crease if you aren’t careful and I must wear a primer. Though it blends out so perfectly, has a great color match and covers so great, I’ll put up with it. If you want a full cover concealer without a fuss, this one isn’t it. But damn if it’s not beautiful.

Next is Dior Brown Milly which is another addition to my Dior Vibrant blush collection. I’ve already done a post on this, so I’ll just say: <3. I also just realized I showed 4 primers and mentioned 5 in my video. Apparently, I like primers. First is Dior's new range which includes the eye prime and pore minimizer. Both are lovely. Dior pore minimizer goes on smooth and makes a great base no matter what foundation I'm wearing. Eye prime is a substitute for my MAC Painterly. It's not as opaque, but has decent priming capabilities and goes on so much more smoothly over my lids. Pro Prime Instant Line & Pore Perfector from Nars is a new favorite. It's great for undereye, around the nose & on the chin. It lasts and fills in lines. I love the stick application. I also mentioned Becca Ever-Matte - the big sister to the Dior Pore Minimizer. I love them both, but only use Becca sparingly. It's pretty powerful and can dry me out with regular use. Then, 2 for sure favorites. Too Faced Better than Sex mascara & Anastasia Brow Wiz in Caramel. Both are items I've just fallen in love with. I love the more dramatic lashes from the Better than Sex mascara & how great my brows look with the Brow Wiz. The Brow Wiz applies with precision and lasts all day. All items from Sephora except Brown Milly (Nordstrom). More soon as I test out more products! I’m finally getting a fell for all the new stuff I’ve bought!!

Anastasia Brow Wiz is my HG brow product, it’s so great!

I have been wanting to try Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for a while, it gets so much hype! But I am trying to get through a few of my current mascaras first. It’s hard to behave sometimes when there are so many pretty things out there!

I fall in love with the brow wiz more & more each day! Perfection with colors! BTS mascara is quite good, but it’s terrible on bottom lashes & I hate using 2 mascaras. 🙁 but it makes my lashes look fake!!!
