Get Ready With Me

So I recently filmed (and on a whim decided to upload) a ridiculous get ready with me video. While the video was a long, random beast, I still used some good products that shouldn’t be overlooked. I even did a before & after. Although the video was 20 minutes long (*gasp*), there are a few things I’d like to mention if you didn’t have time to watch the video or would prefer not to.

tips

#1 For quick applications in the mornings, decide before hand your must beauty makeover items. Mine is under eyes and eyelashes. I know I will always be using a corrector & mascara.
#2 Use a foundation you can blend in with your hands and then lightly buff with a brush afterwards. It’s quicker & uses less product.
#3 Know your brushes. I know my Tom Ford bronzer will quickly and easily apply bronzer and powder. I know my TF cheek will apply creams and powders as well as be a dense brush to use for sheer blushes. Know the tools you have and how they will work for you in a hurry.

staples

Two items that have quickly become everyday staples are the Nars Mississippi Mermaid eyeshadow & the Dior Vibrant blush in Mimi Bronze. They are both neutral, but can be layered. Mimi Bronze works well with most every look – with or without bronzer. Mississippi Mermaid is an easy classic that warms up the eye in a hurry. It can be placed on with a fluffy brush & built up for more punch. It makes a great single color or paired with others/used as a base.

easy lips

Nude lips are quick, simple and forgiving. The key is to make it look like lips, not death. I paired Chanel Rouge Allure 114 Precieuse with Nars Larger Than Life Lipgloss in Piree. Piree has a lot of pink so it brings everything back to life, but still has warmth. There’s no shimmer, but I love the look of something with shimmer as well.

Arg! She never barks, then I turn on the camera or get on the phone, and she goes crazy! Lol I’ll keep her though. We’re snuggling now. 🙂 Mimi Bronze has become a staple for sure; I reach for it all the time. I love the color & texture. Deep rosy colors I just find easy to wear no matter what! Thanks for watching & reading!
