So I’ve had some time to play with the products from Sephora so I thought I’d do a follow up before their 20% off sale to all of us starting on Thursday.
Illamasqua cream pigment in hallow: Returned. Did nothing for me. Barely showed up; I can only see this working on someone who really wants to build up a product or has super, super pale skin.
Illamasqua blush in nude rose: Love the color and texture, but not sure it’s a need for me. I love how it’s matte and how it’s a rosy pink color. I feel like a lot of rose/natural colors pull pink on me anyway, so I don’t think it’s a must. Lasted all day. Worth a look if you’re thinking of a natural rose color.
Julep hand scrub: Amazing! I love that it makes my hands super soft and I only need a pea size. I don’t wear lotion afterwards and it’s so nice!
Guerlain meteorites in crazy: Love, love. This is actually a little dark to wear as a setting powder for me, so I wear on top of my bronzer. So pretty! If you feel like the Ambient Light powders from Hourglass don’t provide enough… ooomph, checkout Guerlain meteorites.
Dior vibrant blush in coral cruise: I feel like there are lots of mixed reviews on these, but I love this new formula. Particularly the color range. It lasted all day, blends like a dream, super soft and looks gorgeous on. I have no complaints and will be buying one more in the next VIB sale!
Becca rose gold highlighter: Ah, I love this. Already did a post I love it so much. It is glittery, but it doesn’t seem to travel everywhere and gives the face a pretty sparkle with gold/rose gold coloring.
NARS lip pencils: I love Hyde Park. So deep, dark and mysterious. It lasts ALL day and will look great on a variety of skin tones. Sex Machine is more nude on my lips, but lasted quite some time for a nude. While I do want to pick up more, I feel like these aren’t a complete must-have because I just don’t reach for them a ton. I feel like everyone needs a darker shade/brighter shade to be able to wear out so it lasts through dinner/dancing/life… but in everyday I personally don’t reach for them. I feel like what I have is sufficient for me, but if you are someone who doesn’t like the fuss or touch-up, I’d take a look into getting 1 or 2.
Makeup Forver powder brush (130): This is SO soft. Seriously, I just want to rub it all over my face. I love this for setting or dusting on powders. It won’t give you full coverage, but is great for everyday setting in a variety of products. I use them in pressed or loose powder as well as the Ambient Light powders. I feel like the price is right, especially at 20% off.
I hope you all enjoyed! I will be shopping on Thursday… any must-haves? Nordstrom is giving me $50 for free. I won’t pass that up!
I will add the video once it uploads.
