Today flew by, but I also can’t believe it’s not over yet. Colin and I slept in and snuggled with Molly. Then, Colin got a hankering for Toast. Toast on Market is one of our favorite restaurants/brunch places and we hadn’t been there in awhile. Mostly because it’s in Louisville. Yes, we drive an hour and a half to go eat food. So, we pulled ourselves out of bed and thought we had plenty of time to make it down there before they stopped seating people at 2.
We hop in the car and hit traffic. It doesn’t last too long and then miraculously goes away. Ok, back on track. Then about 20 miles before Louisville – BAM. Completely stopped. We thought we’d be there easily at 1:30 and we made it there at 2:05. Luckily, they were kind enough to seat us. I’m not sure what would have happened if Colin didn’t get his Toast!
We ordered, we ate, we enjoyed. We headed to the candy shop which was PACKED. Oh duh, it’s Easter. I wanted 1 small candy and Colin was literally like a little kid grabbing one after the other. Needless to say, we’re stocked up on chocolate. Bunnies, mint chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, whatever… we’ve got it.
Then, we decided to go to the mall. I had a return and we figured we made it all the way down there, what the heck. So I had 1 thing in Sephora I wanted and walked away with about 10 things and not even getting the 1 thing I went in there for. That happens to me frequently. In my defense, they had all the new items in stock (which my Sephora does not) PLUS brands my does not carry. I couldn’t resist. Colin had quite a laugh at my swatched to the nines hand/arm. Hey, that’s how we do it. I’m a professional.
We had dinner with friends last night so I wasn’t able to get up my Thursday Three, but I should be back on track next Thursday. I hope you all have a great Easter weekend; I’ll share my haul in a separate post. I got a lot of unexpected but really exciting things. Stila turquoise eyeliner? Heck yes! I’ve also been loving my Olympus EPL5. It’s been so fun to carry with me on days like today. I hope to get some thoughts together for the camera diaries as I think it will be really helpful. Right now I own 5, yes 5, cameras. Is it out of control? I’m going to stick with no.
