Tom Ford Sahara Haze

Tom Ford makes some beautiful, extremely expensive albeit, makeup products. Last year I bought a lot of Tom Ford around Christmas/birthday as gifts to myself. Sahara Haze was one of those palettes. Someone recently asked me about it since I’ve been flashing around my Seductive Rose. It prompted me to pull it out of my drawer and start using it again.

What appealed me to it was the deep, forest green colors plus the glitter shade. I love the palettes that have 3 mattes/satins paired with one glitter shade & this fit the bill. I think one of the reasons I hadn’t been pulling it out much is because it makes for a much deeper eye and recently I’ve just been keeping it simple. I love pairing this with my Burberry Midnight Ash eyeliner which is also a deep color rooted in the beautiful deep green.

It has a pretty shimmery champagne color that I put all over the eye. I also love blending out this palette with this color as it calms everything down a little. There’s a soft gray, forest green glitter and deep green color to round out the palette.

If you love a smoky eye with something other than gray or taupe, this is a great choice. I love that it’s deep and dark… but somehow unexpected. Though I will say I struggle keeping it on the more neutral side for whatever reason. I think that’s why it only comes out when I want a killer smoky eye, but not much more than that.

I usually just pat the shimmer shade on top with an applicator, my finger or a dense brush. It gives such a pretty foil affect.

This blog has such a beautiful smoky eye using the palette.

As you’d expect, the formulation is a beauty. And I didn’t have any colors like it. This quad in particular really reminds me of the blushes – it seems like you’d be able to mimic these colors, but I’ve never seen it done quite right. The price has increased even higher than when I bought it, so the whole “worth it” factor is up to you.

I think if I had to start my TF collection out all over again, this wouldn’t make the cut; but ONLY because I rarely wear a deep smoky eye and for nothing else. Though, I will say that highlight shade has had me picking up the quad more frequently… so I suppose I should be happy I’m not starting my collection over again.

I have really been loving it lately. It makes such a pretty smoky eye. I love the green smoky eyes instead of gray. The highlight shade is also stunning!!
