So my requested video of a vanity tour was finally fofilled. It literally was the worst thing EVER! I tried SO many times to film. Something always went wrong – auto focus on causing noise, couldn’t really show stuff, audio bad…. oh my gosh! Was not what I envisioned, but it’s done for now! I will be adding details to this post later… but for those who want to see the photo highlights instead of a 45 minute video… here you go!
Handmade ring cone from Bailey Doesn’t Bark. I have some earring holders and bowls as well. Who knew bowls and cones were so amazing? Things like these are unique and just make me happy! This one is one of a kind, but she’s always got something cool up her sleeve.
Candle holders from Ikea. PF candle in gardenia and coconut. I’m not a huge fan of teakwood & tobacco, this one is my fave! I stack some of my favorite perfumes on the other holder including Elizabeth & James and my Nest fragrances. Yummy.
The setup from behind the chair which includes some infamous Muji drawers. I stack a 5, 3 & 2 on top of each other. I do like them a lot. I realize it’s not the best quality, but I think they look nice and serve a good purpose. I personally don’t like the bigger ones that are more expensive because they don’t look as organized to me. I feel like they just hold lots of crap. It’s all personal preference!
The front of my vanity. Clear chair from Ikea & mirror is a Vanity Girl Mirror. I have had it quite some time and love the dimmer switch on it… plus it looks cool. Though I will warn that it has a HUGE base. I keep my brushes out front stored in Anna Sui containers (black) and an Umbra container (from the Container Store). I also put everyday liners in a cute hand dipped jar I got from Shop Anomie.
My Armani tower! It is flimsy, so I store my delicate glass on bottom and the fluid sheers in the middle. The Fluid Sheers tend to be more robust. The top is my Armani shadows, blushes & highlight. I love reaching in there and enjoying some Armani! Behind it is an Anna Sui mirror that’s perfect for travel + an Anna Sui brush I use occasionally.
Handmade cross from Twice Loved Vintage. It was done with my grandmothers jewelery. You can buy them pre-made or order special with your own jewelry. These are really cute and actually really hard to do! The jar is from Hobby Lobby and I just store extra long cotton buds.
Inside look into my Muji drawer. This one is primers. Face primers & eye primers mostly. I love my Armani primer because it works! The Clarins is so nice to have on hand and the Guerlain is super lightweight and feels awesome on the skin. I love my Painterly Paint Pot from MAC and I recently bought 2 others (Camel Coat + Stormy Pink) and love them as everyday bases for the eye.
The 5 drawer Muji is perfect for lipsticks and glosses. I have a bottom drawer dedicated to Chanel Glossimers. I let the C’s hang out since I can easily spot the colors when the drawer is open. I also have another Bailey Doesn’t Bark hand painted bowl I keep a beauty blender or other current necessities in.
Now my drawers! Top drawer has MAC + NARS. I love the new MAC palettes since you can see what’s inside. Nars packaging is just so pretty and sleek. I label them all by using just normal printer labels you can buy at the store, but I make the highlight color black. Sexy.
Kind of a random drawer (organizers from Ikea). Hourglass Ambient blushes, Burberry blushes and powders, Estee Lauder products… I do look into this drawer often even though it’s kind of a mis-match. I like keeping brands together if you couldn’t tell!
Tom Ford drawer! Palettes, blushs & lipsticks oh my! I got those organizers (which I LOVE) from Ikea but can no longer find them! Such a shame because they are awesome. The front part is on a hinge so you can store things underneath as well. Perfect for my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors and extra liners.
My beloved Chanel drawer! I love how fun this drawer is! All my Chanel blushes, powders, shadows & bronzers. I recently had to throw out my Soliel Tan de Chanel. It smelled funny. What a sad, sad day!
All these brushes in a row… so pretty. I keep my most used brushes out and sort them. Foundation, powder & cheek. Eyeshadow brushes all in the Umbra one. Perfect for storing and sorting those smaller brushes.
