Bobbi Brown Overview + Tutorial

….Aaaand 50 billion years later she writes a blog post! I feel like blog posts are really important; especially with videos but the reality is that I just haven’t had the time. I am trying to do better though. Part of my issue is that I may not get to put everything up at once and that’s ok. I have a few fun videos coming soon so hopefully I can get my shiz together.

I will say that I tried to take pictures and was having an issue with my camera (finally resolved, but don’t have time to re-take). I didn’t have time to re-take so sorry this isn’t going to be a heavy pictured post; but we need to ease into things, right?!

I do plan on doing a part 2 which will feature my top picks w/ swatches which I think will also be helpful. For now, I just wanted to expand on a few things.

First, I didn’t do my nude finishing powder in nude which is ridiculous because I love that thing! It’s the perfect finishing powder for me because I actually notice it (unlike the hourglass) but it’s nothing to shimmery. The sheer powder is also really exceptional (both white for under eyes and yellow for all over face). I find that the sheer powder does help with the longevity of my makeup.

I do not like the eye opening mascara because I feel like it’s hard to get in the corners and after only about a month, my package has gotten quite goopy and gross. The eye primer might be nice for those with dry eyelids, but it only has a tint. I like the cream shadows better.

Ug, all the feels are coming back! Part 2 is definitely in order! Art sticks, the pale pink blush and bronzer in #2 are life to me as of late. I do like her powder blush, but pale pink gives me ALL the feels.

You look fantastic! I, too, am a big Bobbi Brown fan, and I am hoping that her departure from the brand does not mean its demise or into something that would betray its founder’s vision. Only time will tell.
