September Favorites

I always love watching favorites videos on YouTube at the end of each month. I may do one myself this time, but we shall see. This month, I found it pretty easy to pick out a few. I got my top 8 items that I’ve been loving all month long.

Ojon Rare Blend Oil

Ok, so I haven’t had this all month, but I do love this stuff. It reminds me of a summer sunset. You shake it up and vola, a gorgeous oil mixture. You just put a little on your hair and it feels soft & supple. Easy to blow-dry and doesn’t make my hair greasey over time. It’s a very lightweight oil (much more so than the Moroccan oil).

Clarins Collector Palette

This was an easy, easy pick as a favorite. This is/was (not sure if you can still get it?) a limited edition item. For us pale folk, it adds instant glow with no effort. It’s hard to find a product that isn’t shimmery, muddy, orange or simply too dark. I love that this is easy. I’ve worn it everyday. Seriously.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Again, another simple one. Now, my skin isn’t dull so I really don’t use this as an illuminator. I actually use it as a primer. Beauty Flash Balm has a large cult following as well as a lot of folks that just don’t understand it. If you have dull skin, I recommend checking this out. If you have oily skin and have trouble finding a good primer, I also recommend this. It’s one of the only things that keeps my YSL foundation in place all day.

Lavanila Summer Vanilla

I love these scents. A lot. I’ve been wearing the summer version for the last couple weeks non-stop. I love that all of them have the base of vanilla and the other flavors just add a twist. Summer is light and fresh, yet deep with the vanilla base. I am in love.

Clarins Lip Perfector

This is an item I have in all 3 colors (01, 02 & 03). My favorite is 02 & 03 (02 shown). The 02 is more peachy and the 03 is a nude. I love these and wear them pretty much everyday. They keep my lips hydrated and don’t look too glossy. When I first got 01, I was really not sure what all the hype was about. Then I got 03 and 02 and I’m addicted.

Masters Brush Cleaner

This stuff is amazing. I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the London Brush Company’s soap. It’s just a solid goat milk soap that cleans brushes. I just wet my brush, swirl around and rise. That’s it. Clean brushes without a mess and it gets out just about every product with ease. You can purchase on Amazon or here & it’s a fraction of the price from London Brush Company.

Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub

I used to use the Lush lip scrubs and recently wanted to try something new. I love it more because it has oils in it so my lips get extra hydration than just the sugar itself in the Lush scrubs. I will say that since you can’t lick it off like the Lush scrubs, it can get a little messy. I do this over the sink at night a few times a week.

Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Emeriveille

I’ve been wearing this pretty much everyday as an eyeshadow base or as my shadow (like today). More information is here.
